Monthly villa rental in Canggu: 2026 prices and what to check
Renting a villa by the month is the best way to live in Canggu, but prices vary hugely and the details matter more than the photos. Here is what a month really costs in 2026, what should be included, and what to check before you sign.

How much is a monthly villa rental in Canggu?
There is no single price, but there are useful benchmarks. In October 2026, the long-term rental marketplace Bali Villa Hub listed more than 1,000 villas for monthly rent in Canggu with a median of about US$2,350 per month across all sizes. Smaller one- and two-bedroom villas sit below that; newer three-bedroom pool villas in central locations sit above it.
For reference, our own brand-new three-bedroom villas on Jalan Padang Linjong are:
| Villa | Size | Bedrooms | Monthly rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Villa Diosa | 270 m² | 3 en-suite + guest WC | IDR 55,000,000 |
| Villa Guerrero | 300 m² | 3 en-suite + guest WC | IDR 60,000,000 |
Both include cleaning three times a week and pool and garden maintenance.
What drives the price
- Bedrooms and size. Each extra bedroom adds a lot, but split between friends a three-bedroom villa is often cheaper per person than three studios.
- Location. Central Canggu streets close to the beach and cafés cost more than villas out in the rice fields, but save you hours of traffic. See our Canggu shortcut and traffic guide.
- Age and finish. Brand-new villas with good air conditioning, fast internet and quality furniture command a premium, and are usually worth it for a long stay.
- Private pool and garden. A real garden is rare in central Canggu and shows up in the price.
- Season. Peak periods, especially July–August and Christmas–New Year, push monthly prices up. Low season is the time to negotiate.
- Length of stay. Bali Villa Hub's data puts yearly rents around 17% cheaper than paying month by month.

Checklist before you sign
- Construction next door. The biggest quality-of-life killer in Canggu. Ask directly, and look over the walls.
- Noise. Visit at different times of day, especially evening.
- Internet. Run your own speed test if you work online.
- Rainy season. Ask whether the street or the garden floods between November and March.
- Road access. Can a car reach the gate, or only scooters?
- Contract and deposit. Agree the deposit amount, what it covers and when it is returned.
- Distance to your daily life. Gym, coworking, beach and groceries. If they are a few minutes away you will use them every day.
Where to find monthly villas
- Marketplaces like Bali Villa Hub and Bali Home Immo list hundreds of villas with monthly prices.
- Facebook groups for Bali long-term rentals move fast, but check listings carefully.
- Airbnb works well for the first month while you look around, with monthly discounts on many listings.
- Directly with owners. Usually the best price and the most flexibility, because there is no platform fee.
